Journal Prompt and 2013 Goals

Fourth in my Ornament Doodle Series

I'm not going to continue nagging you about taking some time for yourself to daydream.   I'm just going to assume that you realize that you are important enough to do so.  What I am going to suggest is that you take a look at this week's journal prompt on the sidebar.   It really does fit into the idea of taking the month of January to think about what you would like to do this year.

Journaling can be anything you want it to be from simply writing down your thoughts, to collage, to painting to a mix of everything.   You can journal in a notebook, a special journal book or on loose leaf paper either punched to go into a binder or simply placed in a folder.   You can do it on your computer.   It's up to you.  Draw, color, play with markers or gel pens.   Type it up on the computer, print it out and play with it.   The number of ways to journal are as numerous as the folks who journal - read that 'A Lot'!

Take this weekend and use that prompt and see where it takes you.   I'll share mine...I hope you will share yours.

On another note:   I wanted to play with some of my doodles so I took one of my older ones...

And I decided to cut it into one inch squares - inchies.   After playing around with them, I glued them in order on a black sheet with a quarter inch between each piece.   This is what it looked like...

It was okay, but not what I wanted so I decided to try a 3D approach and fold it accordion style.   This is what you see from one side and then from the other...

And this is what it looks like after being placed on a black sheet of cardstock...

I really liked the results and have it hanging in my office/studio.

Thanks for dropping by...

Enjoy your weekend...

And try some journaling...
