February 1, 2023 Zentangle

This picture is what it looks like around here...no, the picture wasn't taken here, but this is what it looks like.  Brown, no snow, bare trees and blue skies.

And it is finally cold.  The high today is just around the mid 30's and the lows are going to be in the single digits this weekend.  However in less that six days, it will be back up to the 50's.

I replaced the battery in the truck this morning.  It was giving a signal that said 'Restart Engine, Disconnect Ignition, Battery Saver'. The last time I replaced the battery I had the same warnings but it was not cold and within a few weeks, I wound up replacing it.  It's cold and I want a battery that is dependable, so I replaced it right away.  At least it wasn't my alternator going bad.

Do you like to doodle?  I do and find it very relaxing. A way of meditating and slowing down.  I do a type of zentangle which is structured and repeated patterns.  All you need is paper and pencil/pen.  Drawing pencils/pens are great but you don't have to have them.  Here are several examples of mine...

You can use colored pens or pencils if you like.  I once did a whole series of colorful Easter Eggs.

For more information and even free classes in zentangle, google it.  You will find all sorts of patterns to work with...or pick up your pen and create your own.  It's fun and relaxing.  Give it a try and see what you think.

Talk with you tomorrow...
