I noticed that the forecast has changed so instead of rain every day for the next ten days, it's now only raining seven out of the next ten days!
I got most everything done yesterday except spray the clear coat on SnowWhite. The spray can didn't work! Unfortunately it's not returnable so I am going to have to see if the company will either refund my money or send me a new can. Probably won't get here until after I leave though!
I also got two small suitcases out of Duchess and I noticed that it was a bit smelly in Duchess as she has been closed up for the winter. I opened one window but the other window I normally open for a cross breeze is stuck. If I have time before leaving I will try and work on that window. I open those two windows because they do not let any rain into the trailer.
Yesterday I shared small envelopes which I will use in my junk journals. Today I have two even smaller envelopes to share. These are one inch by two inches and I covered them with washi tape. Here's the template...
Today I am hosting the guild chat, watering and taking care of the plants and starting to decide what to bring on my trip out west...including what crafts to bring along. As I am driving I am not limited as to what to pack but I don't think I will bring the sewing machine. I am leaning towards bringing only textile handwork (i.e. embroidery, quilting, etc.) and journal decorating supplies. I just have to choose what to bring...
Choices! How do you make choices? I'm old enough to remember having only a few choices on tv to watch...three major networks, pbs and maybe one or two other channels. Quite frankly, it was easier to make a choice as to what to watch at that time then it is today with hundreds of choices. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed that I don't even make a choice. I just tune it out or turn it off.
The same goes with almost everything today. Have you counted how many different cereals there are to choose from at the grocery store both name brands and store brands?
I often wonder if having so many choices is really a good thing. One of the ways I have used to help in making choices is to decrease my clothing. I have more than a capsule wardrobe but not as much as I used to have. And everything fits, is in good shape and it all works together. How I wish I had done this a long time ago...it would have saved a lot of time!
There's so much to choose from today that it might be advisable to come up with strategies to make choices...like making a list of things to buy at the grocery store, or setting a time limit when choosing a book to read or something to watch. Even decluttering can help...for instance, having less holiday decorations to use...quality over quantity.
Best thing to do is to come up with your own strategy at making decisions. You may have to try a few different ways before finding what works best but saving time making choices allows you to have more time enjoying the choices you make.
Have a wonderful day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
