It was 51 degrees this morning at 5:30am!  Warm and raining.  Right now, there are dark clouds and it's still raining...about two hours later...and it's a couple degrees warmer.

Going to be about 60 this afternoon but it looks like the rain is going to be around until late afternoon.

The ground around the storage trailer was dry enough to walk around this weekend.  After taking a look at what's left...not very much...we took in the last of the kitchen boxes (seven) and the last contractor's bag full of afghans and quilts to wash.   I washed the afghans and quilts so they are ready to be put away.  The kitchen will probably take around four days to finish getting sorted.

There's a three small bags of my stuff, some odd furniture, more tools and several bags and boxes that belong to my son.  We truly are close to end.

I enjoyed a lot of time working on my journal and as well as working on a quilt project.  And, of course, the gratitude challenge which is filling up fast as you can see...

I finished the journal and used a lace tie to close it.  For the lace closure, I cut a circle out of heavy cardboard, covered it with a decorative paper and then with clear packing tape.  I used a brad to attach it to the front cover using a piece of book print on the inside to cover the back of the brad.  I found a new notebook to write my reflections in so I did not have to make one...

Here are a couple more pages from my poetry journal...
In the photo about there are two pockets on the left side and two belly bands on the right hand side.
You can see the the tags and pockets in the above photo and in the next photo you can see the poems each holds...

I also worked on a fabric collage piece this past weekend.  It's a wall hanging project with collaged houses.  The following photos show how the project progressed from background to getting ready to quilt...

I really wanted to try collaging an object so I began with something simple like houses.  I free hand cut the trees out of black fabric.  It's ready for quilting.

Not sure how much quilting or journal making I will be doing this week as I really want to finish organizing the kitchen.  Hopefully, I will be able to do a few things.

That's all for now...
Talk with you tomorrow...
