Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial beginning of summer! And it's cold, wet and cloudy!
The dumpster is full. It's being picked up this weekend. I need to replace a couple chairs that I took out to make place for the two mattresses. I have found room, just not put them in. Anything left to be discarded is small enough to go into the regular garbage can.
Duchess is mostly done, but there's a lot of little stuff that needs to be sorted. That may wait until I get back from vacation...
We're grilling tomorrow, rain or no rain. I doubt that we will be able to eat outside. Family will be joining us for a picnic type meal albeit inside!
So do you have any plans for this weekend? Listening to the national weather forecasts, it sounds like a lot of outdoor plans will be changed to indoor. Wonder if this portends what summer will be like?
I have some shopping to do today as well as a bit of cleaning...not very exciting. If I finish everything, I'll work on some studio projects as well as take a look a things to get ready for the trip.
I'm listening to another author today...Minna Lindgren. The book is titled 'The Lavender Ladies Detective Agency: Death in Sunset Grove'. It's about folks in a senior home setting and it's a hoot. All the characters so far are very, very old with the usual and unusual quirks seniors seem to possess.
Whatever plans you have for this holiday weekend, please be safe, and enjoy yourself. Take time to rest and relax and just be...reading, napping, daydreaming, celebrating with family or treating yourself to some you-time.
Talk with you on Tuesday...
