A quick post today...life happening in the form of cleaning a camping trailer and getting ready to leave either late Thursday night or early Friday morning for five days of camping.
I'm looking forward to seeing the country in southern Utah. It is so much different than back east and New York City. I want to take it all in before I go back.
Today's focus is Simple Living. If any of you think this is a modern day movement, please visit this blog: Becoming Minimalist. Read the April 1, 2011 post titled "Minimalism Quotes...Through the Centuries" from "Becoming Minimalists" by Joshua Becher.
Quite frankly, I kind of figured that the simple living movement had more roots than just the current movement, but I really did not know that it was this old! Interesting!

My Journey of Change...
Life happens. An interesting phrase...life happens. It gives the impression of chance, of things just happening on a whim. I'm not sure that I can quite believe that...too many things seemed to be coordinated on this last journey.
I loved my old 1987 Buick Century (it was in excellent shape) and would not have gotten another car had we not been hit at JFK (on the way to long term parking) by someone not paying attention.
And I really needed that new car (Ford Explorer) to move all our things to storage when it became apparent that a move out here was necessary, immediately. The doctors in NYC said that my husband needed a transplant much sooner than he could get one there.
So life does happen, but I think it is more than 'life happens' if you get my drift.
