Well, between long periods of writing (that assignment with the impossible deadline!!!!!) I have been packing and bringing my craft things out to the trailer. My bulk storage is under a bench...
So, the three closest plastic boxes contain material. Lots of charm packs and 10" squares. Most of the fabric work I do now are small art pieces. No more large quilts.
The two green boxes contain my high density styrofoam balls which I use to create boutique balls (remember them from the 70's?)
The two white boxes contain felt, quilling supplies, batting and fabric adhesive. The last plastic box contains my yarn and next to that is my felting supplies.
By the way, I noticed that my bench cushions slipped easily so I fixed that problem with Velcro. I simply got a box of adhesive backed Velcro. Placed a long strip on the back of the cushion. Took off the adhesive strip on the bottom and laid the cushion down on the bench. After sitting on the bench a couple times, the bottom strip was securely attached. You can see it on the middle picture. Try it. The cushions stay put.
I also put up a design wall. It is small, but I think it will work fine. And it was very cheap to make. I simply got a piece of solid foam insulation - $4. I covered it with thin batting using pins. I hung it on the 3M command strip hangers with the metal hooks. I pushed them into the back of the foam insulation and then hung them as directed.
I love my pictures next to the design wall. The top one I purchased from an artist at one of the many craft festivals I have been to...
This is four fall leaves between two pieces of glass surrounded by copper. There is also a copper pipe (not shown) from which it hangs and copper wire to hold it together.
This however is my favorite picture...
The two beams of lights representing the Twin Towers were produced with dozens and dozens of highbeam lights. My husband purchased this picture from a street vendor for me and it has been in my studio every since.
One final picture...
Notice the box on the open shelf. That is one of my boxes with the magnetic closure. This one contains my stamping supplies. I will be replacing the rest of the white plastic bins with my boxes. I think it will also look nicer.
Have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by...
