Countdown to Turkey Day - Seventeen Days!
Oh my, if that's supposed to make me feel better...IT DOESN'T!!!!! That gives me fifteen days to get most of the house packed. AND although I felt like I had things in hand last week...well, it is proving to be a bit more frustrating that I anticipated...
Last weeks goals...
Finish deciding what to take in trailer from the studio/office - still working on this one
Finish packing the rest of the stuff from the studio/office - still working on this one
Go through three boxes from upstairs large bedroom - finished - only kept one box
Bring down picture albums from common room - still working on this one
Continue to take sort and pack stuff for Goodwill - car is full again
Bring out half of my clothing to the trailer - not done, haven't even started
Finish luminaries - all done
Back one quilt - backed two
Sew one quilt top - all done
Continue working on crocheted village - finished another house (two more to go)

Okay, I think I have almost finished deciding what to take in the trailer from the studio/office. I did get most of it out today, but there are still some things left to be decided. Maybe what's frustrating me is that the office still looks full.

Fabric gone, but the things I am working on for Christmas have taken it's place!
These are two other shelves...
Packed, yes. Empty, no. The top picture has sewing stuff on a shelf which I still need. Lots of empty magazine boxes which I have not decided to keep yet, batting which will be given away and a bag of my vitamins.
The bottom picture has my printer and paper which I am still using as well as picture albums from which I am taking the pictures and the finished quilts on top.
See what I mean...packed but not empty. There's stuff all over the room but things that I am still using. Oh well, I'll get it sorted. On the plus side, there are only four and a half boxes from this room that I have packed...most of the stuff goes into the trailer with me! Thus, I am still under 30 boxes!!! And they are all small ones!!!
So, this week's goals:
Sort four boxes from upstairs bedroom closet
Continue to bring down photo albums and remove pictures
Continue taking stuff to the trailer
Finish packing stuff from studio/office
Pack good set of dishes
Pack everyday set of dishes
Sort glassware
Sort utensils
Fix awning on trailer
Go through clothes one more time for donations
Lose one pound (I lost one and a half last week!)
Back one quilt
Sew the top of the final quilt
Crochet house for village
Continue taking stuff to Goodwill
Oh, and I found a really neat thing to make. The idea happened to be on one of my craft sites. So I googled crochet directions and found a ton. I picked one but then altered it considerably. What is it?
It's a soap sliver saver/user. Only took a short time to make. The top has a draw string to open and close. I really like it. What do you think? I'm thinking of making several to include in the Christmas boxes.
Football this evening...I'll watch while I continue to pack.
