NOT THIS HOUSE!!! & THE LATEST CREATIVE VENTURE

The news on the house was not great. It had many problems that we weren't able to see until the bank furnished, finally, the key to the basement. They only sent it the day before the inspection. Basically, although the main floor was in great shape, the plumbing was done for and a completely new plumbing job was needed. Then when the septic person came, they found out that the tank was metal! Metal...who puts a metal septic tank in? Anyway, it was so corroded that a blunt stick could poke a hole in it!!! This house is definitely a no go. Back to square one!!!

On the creative side, remember I auditioned the background with one or two layers of tulle? I decided on one layer. I then stitched the tulle down with a meandering stitch using gold thread...

Next, I cut a pattern for the flower...

Which I am going to make using this fabric...

Here's a partial flower on the green background. The fabric color is certainly different from the above piece. Interesting! By the way, the yellow portion of the pink flower is really a shiny gold.

Once the flower is appliqued with a statin stitch, I will be adding lots of glitz like beads and maybe some ribbon.

Tomorrow, out early to do some fishing, take a break to check out another house and then eat at a new restaurant...Paul Smyth's Twisted Fried Chicken and Waffle in New Windsor...that we found yesterday.

Their chicken and sides are fantastic...

But so is their barbeque...

If you live in the area, you have to stop in and try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!

Well, that's all for this week...
Thanks for dropping by...
Talk with you next Monday...
