ANOTHER DAY OVER & ANOTHER MINI-NEWSLETTER SENT

Well, I finally got my mini-newsletter out today. Had some problems with the internet so had to send it out twice to a couple folks. I am now printing the hard copies to get ready to mail them tomorrow.
In the rain!!!

I put up the umbrella today in time for the rain. Hope it will stay up and protect the chairs. I got it in the ground most of the way but had to get one of the boys to get it in further...guess these 74 year old bones and muscles aren't quite that strong if they ever were.

The temperatures are supposed to be warm - actually in the 80's - which will be very different from the below freezing temperatures we have been having. Still haven't picked up any flowers yet but hopefully tomorrow. Might be nice to get out and at least take a look.

A friend sent me a YouTube video titled The Great Realization which is absolutely great. Give it a watch and then see if you too think this would be a great outcome from this virus...

CRAFTING IDEAS

I always have scrap fabric around so these fabric flowers are one way to use up the scraps. Cut out five each of two size circles. For each size, fold the circles in half, wrong sides together, and with needle and with long, strong thread hand stitch around the cut edge. Add each folded circle onto the same thread. When all are on, gather as tight as possible and take several stitches to secure. You can fold the edges inward or outward. (Outward is shown.). Place the smaller gathered circle on top of the larger one and stitch to secure. Add the sequin and bead to finish. You can also hot glue the pieces together. Easy and fast.

MAGAZINE IDEAS

(New) One article in the Farmer's Almanac 2024 is a list of trends. One I knew about is the trend to downsize in just about every area. Another trend that I was surprised about was called ''The Human Library' which offers people on loan to talk about specific subjects. Finally, more folks are adding pets to their family and as a result, stores are adding more pet food, toys and medication to their offerings. There's also a nice garden article which suggests mixing vegetables and flowers together for success.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Spring is a great time to not only review your annual goals, but to establish some new goals particular to spring. So, do you have any? There are a variety of types of goals from things to do in the yard, to specific vacation plans, to making sure to spend time with your family outside everyday, to...well, you name it. The goals or ideas are only limited to what you want to do. When you think about your spring goals be sure to have a variety including both 'want to do' and 'have to do'...from enjoying a picnic to mowing the lawn.
