October 17, 2022

The end of last week was really busy.  We had to finish getting the pods empty and that meant doing a lot of rearranging.  By the time things were done, I was totally exhausted and too tired to post.

BUT, the pods were picked up today and everything is in the house.  Organized?  Not really, but it's getting there.

My office is still a total mess.  I did manage to get some things moved upstairs and bring down the litter boxes...they are in the stairway area of the lower level!  I found the fall decorations and plan on putting up a few fall things.  Not sure where the silk flowers are but I do have a few other things to put out.

The contractor who is taking care of the ceiling in my old office (there was a leak) was here today putting on a skim coat of plaster.  He is coming tomorrow to apply a stain retardant paint and the the next day to paint the entire ceiling.

There is a new question for the week and a new thought for the day to use as a prompt for journaling.  My plan is that by next week I will be organized enough to find my craft supplies and share crafts how-tos with you again as I had planned.

It's been raining all day, sometimes just a light drizzle and other times a heavy downpour.  I'm glad that I found my winter things because it's cold enough to wear flannel pants and sweatshirts during the day and winter sleepwear at night.  BUT it's warmer in my new bedroom/office/studio than my old one on the lower level.

It's election time and in some states early voting has begun.  I was able to get a mail-in ballot again due to covid.  I hope all of you will exercise you right and vote.  Our democracy is something that needs constant attention and one of the best ways to do that is to vote.  Think of what some nations are going through to keep their freedom and others to gain it.  We have it, but only if we can keep it.  So please take the time to vote.

That's all for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
