The trees around here have still not changed. But there are at least two factors that lead to less dramatic fall colors: A warm fall and lots of rain. We have had both of those factors so that is probably why the color is muted.
So, one of the things I want to do for the holidays is make cards. I haven't made any cards for a long time, but I saw a YouTube video on 3D cards and I decided to try making an prototype.
First I made a pattern...
Next, I cut it out of blue card stock...
Since this is going to be a winter scene, I added white to the base...
The two flaps on either side are going to be folded in and I want to add three places to attach things. First I cut them out of white making sure they were long enough to fit between the two folded flaps plus an amount to fold at each end...
I added double sided tape to both ends of all three strips and added them to the flaps...
Finally, I added some snow-covered trees...
I am not sure what else I will add...animals?...houses?...just not sure. Stay tuned.
Enjoy your day...and take care...
Talk with you tomorrow...
