Although I said I was going to take it easy yesterday, I wound up doing a lot of lifting, moving, rearranging, cleaning, etc., etc., etc. And some of the things I moved were probably heavier than I should have moved. But, it's all basically done. Just a few final touches.
I also purchased lots and lots of annuals to plant in all the large pots scattered around the yard but I haven't yet planted them...that will be tomorrow. Probably in the rain.
The nursery had all the vegetables starter plants out and on sale which means I really should work on the garden containers but today I am really going to take it easy.
I finished both spring books and I wanted to share some pictures...
I plan on adding a few beads to the cord I used to sew the signatures to the cover. I also covered back of the tags with clear wide packing tape.
Someone asked why I add a clear tape down the middle of each two page spread on both sides. It gives a bit of strength to the paper as that's where I stitch them together. The paper doesn't tear with the addition of the tape.
It's the first of May, so April's challenge is over...did you take the time to explore your creativity in a journal of sorts. I didn't do it everyday, but my journal is quite full. And, best of all, it has lead me to try a few new techniques. The challenge doesn't need to stop just because April is over, so if you have time, try exploring your creativity in a journal...writing, drawing, cutting and pasting, etc. etc. etc.
I am taking it easy, but I still have some chores to do like laundry, taking out the garbage, etc. And my studio looks like a tornado ran through it so I need to at least straighten it out a bit.
I hope you're not like me and when your body says to take it easy, you do. It's so easy to do one thing and then it leads to another and another and before you know it, you have not taken it easy at all. That's what happened to me yesterday...but not today. I am taking it easy!
