This is a rose from our yard.  My son sent me pictures of all the flowers that have come up since I left for the west.  The rose bushes have tons of blossoms.  And when I left, they looked really sad.  Going to have to look into what to do with rose bushes.

Yesterday my day begin very early with an appointment to put LED lights in SnowWhite.  Took her for a drive last night and those lights really make a difference.  Following that appointment, I had one at one doctor followed by another test in another hospital.  Basically, I wasn't done until suppertime!  Thus no posts.

Today I have a zoom meeting talking about a book and then a meeting concerning the guild website.  And this morning I walked again...I am increasing the time and length.  I began with 28 minutes and am now up to 38 minutes and a block longer.

So Tuesday we talked about chance and choice.  Have you thought about your life in relation to chance and choice?  Gender still has an outsized influence on that...especially for women.  Back in the day, when we all marched for equality, we have moved forward but still many women's lives are more chance than choice.

There's an interesting phenomenon going on, though,...younger folks aren't getting married...many prefer to live by themselves, especially women.  For instance, in SanFrancisco 21% of folks 25-44 lived alone according to the 2022 census.  That does mean that choice is more relevant than chance but I wonder if the loss is relationships?  It doesn't have to be but there is also the possibility of experiencing loneliness.

It seems to me that life is one choice after another, one experience after another and even one chance after another.  Life is not static and that's really a very good thing.  Living provides all sorts of possibilities.  The trick is to know what's right for you...and even if what you choose doesn't work, you have to be able to make another choice rather than stay with a wrong one.

Taking charge of your life may be hard for some, but it really is important.  You only go around once, so you might as well live the life you want rather than the life others want for you.

Have an amazing day and make the choices you want...

Talk with you tomorrow...
