I went for my morning walk a bit later this morning and the humidity has to be off the charts. Thankfully it was still quite cool...in the low 70's. But I felt like I had taken a shower by the time I finished!
The lake that the community owns has a lot of seaweeds close to the shore. They treated the lake on Monday to get rid of those seaweeds and today I saw that they were changing. It will be interesting to see how the treatment works. If it does, I will be able to fish from the dock!
I continue to work long hours on getting the website set up for the guild. I am now at a point where I have only two major things to finish. First, a 'member's only' section. I have to use third party programs and imbed it in html. I have done this before, but this is several steps up from my previous work in html. Going to be interesting.
I did enjoy some time working on my collage fish, though. Check out this picture...
I haven't decided on how to finish the tail nor the bottom fin so I think I will begin working on the surrounding 'water' including some seaweeds! That will give me time to consider how to finish the rest of the fish.
I haven't worked on any junk journals since I returned home. Hopefully I can gather some time to work on those projects as well as the collage fish.
There are things around the house that need attention. I still need to finish cleaning Duchess so we can use it for a storage place. And the utility room has many things in it that we can store in the outside shed.
Outside, I need to check out some of the flower pots as the flowers has died...or gone dormant. And the vegetable garden does need some tending. There's always something to do.
I imagine all of us have chores that need doing. Sometimes, though, I would like to ignore them all. How about you? Do you ever take a vacation from chores? Problem is, they will be there after the vacation. But as they say, all work and no play...well, you know how that works.
My suggestion is attend to the chores in a leisurely manner and take the time to enjoy summer...
