The weather is still cool.  We have had some rain but not a lot.  I think, though, that the rain we've had has taken the smoke from the Canadian fires out of the air.  I love the cool, crisp air of fall even though it's still August.

I can't believe that it's already Friday!  The past two days have begun very, very early and lasted until almost dark...thus I haven't posted anything on the blog.

I also have a problem doing anything on my computer.  Can you guess why?

Yep.  He loves to sleep on my laptop, especially when I am trying to type!

So, at the end of yesterday's adventure (which put about 300 miles on SnowWhite) I stopped in at Barnes & Noble Bookstore.

Remember when I talked about how fast time flies in the fall.  Well, I found something to help me out with those holidays...

This magazine really does have a ton of projects from crocheting to knitting to quilting to paper and much, much more.  I can now begin thinking about the holidays.

I also picked up this stamping magazine and stamps.  I don't really do much with this but there were some cute projects and this one was aimed at holidays...

I'm hoping to get a good start on making things for the holidays, especially Christmas.  That's a lot more fun that shopping for gifts although I do that also.

I don't spend much time on YouTube.  Generally only looking for specific videos on quilting.  But lately I have been watching the Jeff Dunham videos and laughing out loud.  He is a ventriloquist and I love his puppets, especially Peanut.  If you want a good laugh, check out some of his comedy shorts.

So, I haven't really finished with the second week of the 'Living Out Loud' book...still haven't been able to just 'wreck a sketchbook'!  But I will try to at least try using some wild colors with abandon.  I'm not afraid of a blank page, but I think I am too organized to just do it...maybe I should try not only drawing but make some paper collages also.  Going to keep at it.

Well, that's it for this week.  I promise to post more next week...

Enjoy these last few weekends of summer...

Talk with you on Monday...
