So I did finally make it to the library to get my card. It's a small library but connected to several other libraries in the county.
I also made it to the closest quilt store...The Village Fabric Shoppe. A tiny little place run by a woman named Diane who was absolutely lovely. I picked up six fat quarters for my latest fabric creation...
at extremely reasonable prices.
I caught up with some of the videos that I enjoy watching. 'The Last Homely House' (featuring Kate Jackson from Northumberland) which is always a treat. She made log cabin blocks using fabric scraps on adding machine paper tape. I have never tried that but it would keep the scraps straight. Sometimes when I sew scraps together, they have a tendency to careen off to one side or the other.
The other video I watched was Treasures Books featuring Natasha. It was a long video but I was so impressed that I want to make a 'Book of Scraps' journal. It started out simply as a place to put those tiny little scraps that you wind up with when making journals but it turned out to be much more.
So, did you take a few minutes to read yesterday? Remember, the October challenge is for you to take time for yourself..
Have a bright and cheery day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
