These past few days have been difficult for many of us with so many Jewish folks celebrating Hanukkah killed or injured at the Bondi Beach in Sidney, the shooting death of students at Brown and the killing of Rob Reiner and his wife.

My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones in these senseless killings.  I hope that all of them will be comforted by the love that surrounds them.  It's hard to think about enjoying the holiday celebrations but these celebrations focus on the triumph of love and light entering our world which gives us hope for a better future.

I shared the basic crocheted snowflake a few posts ago and today I want to share a cute crocheted wreath ornament.  You need a ring about two inches in diameter, small amounts of 3ply yarn, a 'G' crochet hook, large yarn needle and a scissors.  Begin by crocheting single crochets into the ring to nicely fill the ring...

Fasten off.  Using a different color, slip stitch into any single crochet, chain three, then crochet one single crochet or one double crochet (your choice) into each single crochet and fasten off...

Finally, with another color, slip stitch into any crochet stitch from previous round, chain two and crochet one single crochet into each of the crochet stitches in previous round and fasten off...

To make the bow, chain 25, then turn, skip one chain, crochet a single crochet in the remainder chains and fasten off...

With a yarn needle, make the long crocheted strip into a bow and add to the wreath also adding yarn to hang the ornament.  This ornament is really cute as you can see from the picture.  It takes very little yarn so it is inexpensive.  And it's very easy so you can make several is a short time.

One of the 'nudges' that I wanted you to consider for the new year concerns how many goals or intentions that you want to tackle.  A few really big ones, or lots of mini-goals, or even a combination of both!!!  Just think about those possibilities.

Have an amazing day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
