Another picture from last weekend's storm.  You can actually see the large snowflakes falling!

With the high temperatures yesterday a good deal of the snow melted - down to about three to four inches on the ground now.  But that will increase if the storm materializes as forecast.  Although our snow totals are less...still around 20 inches but less that two feel plus.

Some schools in the city have cancelled in person school attendance and are using zoom lessons for Monday.  Probably a good idea so the streets can be cleaned.

If you are in the path of the storm for either ice or snow please get prepared and be safe.  We picked up some grocery items yesterday so we are in good shape.  And we have lots of wood so we can use the wood fired stove for both heat and even cooking if needed.  All my electronics will be fully charged including backup batteries.  And I have books and movies downloaded incase the internet wires or phone towers are offline.

I worked on the 'slow activity' journal yesterday, adding 'pockets' for the envelopes...

I choose to use belly bands rather than regular pockets because they expand easily to accommodate thicker envelopes.  This weekend I plan to work on the envelopes filling them with supplies for each slow activity.

I am also leaning toward using elastic cord to hold the signatures rather than sewing them in.  That way the signatures can be removed if needed easily.  I still need to make the cover and find other pages to add to the journal...a great activity during the snowstorm!!!

If you have the time this weekend think about your 2026 intentions...we will be finishing up the process this coming week and choosing those you want to pursue.  And spend some time doing something that you really want to do...crafting, reading, quilting, crocheting, etc. or even napping!  It's really important that you include youtime in your schedule...'all work and no play leads to very frustrated, unhappy folks'!

Take care and be safe...
Talk with you on Monday...
