Winter is still here...snow has not melted...temperatures are in single digits.  This morning it was minus 2.  Seems normal for this time of year even though we haven't really experienced this for a long time!

I always looked at this time of winter after the holidays as a time for introspection...a time to slow down, to think about things, to enjoy what life brings, to evaluate possibilities and to just be.  A time to recharge and get ready for spring and summer...maybe planning a garden or a vacation (or stacation).  Take time to use this season of winter to relax, recharge, enjoy and dream.

While working on my junk journals I made a couple more collages.  These are going to be laminated and used as pages in my journals...

These actually led to another organizational craft.  I have lots and lots of small pieces of papers from magazines, books and decorative paper.  It's always been frustrating figuring out how to store them.

After the collage class in which they suggested dividing the papers into six categories (light plain, light patterned, medium plain and medium patterned and dark plain and dark patterned) I decided to make a box divided into six sections and use this as a place to store my small pieces of paper.  The box wasn't in the best shape...my cat loves to play in boxes...but I used it and quickly covered it.  Not my best work but it serves it's purpose...

Now I only have to find a place to store it so the cat can't get to it!

Any plans for the weekend?  With it cold and possibly more snow, we are staying put...I'll watch the snow through the windows and enjoy the fire in the wood burning stove.

Be safe, stay warm, enjoy some cocoa and relax...maybe a movie or reading a book...
Talk with you on Monday...
