There's lots more snow than the picture shows...it was taken early on in the storm.  But as much as we got, places south of us got up to 30 inches of snow!  That's two and a half feet, folks.  And in a city, getting rid of that much snow presents a problem in itself...where do you put it?  Can't dump it in the river or bay...it has to be melted first!

It's cold (17 degrees) but sunny with partly cloudy blue skies!  More snow is forecast for tomorrow and Thursday!  The plows finally came by and the snow piles on the road sides are way up again!

So, today I will be starting to take down the decorations and packing them away (after sorting and organizing).  I also need to begin the newsletter for the guild.  Already did my hour of exercise so that's done.

Yesterday I did manage to finish another page in the slow making journal.  The page is much bluer than the picture shows.  Here's the first page...

And inside...

The right pocket has a card with instructions on the back and the left side has an envelope...

The envelope contains examples, both sides, plus blank cards for doodling...

I discovered a new series on PBS that is excellent.  It's kind of a cosy mystery set in Ireland but with some twists.  The series is called 'The Puzzle Lady'.  Phyllis Logan stars as the puzzle lady.  The introduction to the character is a bit unusual so you know that unexpected things are going to be revealed in the future...and they are!

I was reading an article about life and journey and arriving.  The focus of the article was that life is about the journey, not about 'arriving'!  And it got me thinking that even when one goal or activity like graduating from college is achieved, it's not 'arriving', it's only one more step on the way.

I think a lot of folks think that when they reach something big like retirement or achieving a high place in management or an advanced degree that they have finally 'arrived'.  But the truth is that even after reaching those plateaus, life continues it's journey.  The journey only ends at the end...until then we are all on the journey.

And really, isn't that an exciting situation.  Life is not static...it's continually moving, changing, opening up new opportunities, discovering new ideas no matter what age one is.  The old adage about 'old dogs and new tricks' doesn't apply because no matter how old or how young you are, if you're here, you're on the exciting journey of life!

That's all for today...have an amazing day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
