And it's already 46 going to 70 today! No rain today but tomorrow looks like another soaker!
Well, I thought I had my truck from now on but the car acted up again so back to the garage. Wish they could find the problem. And the other car is still getting service...not sure what the hold up it, but the mechanic working on it is only in part of the week so that may be the problem.
Do you realize that we are almost at the end of March...today and tomorrow and that's it! If you had any intentions for the month, how are they coming along? I did finish mine - starting seeds and going through my wardrobe - in time!!! Hope yours are going well. You might want to take time and evaluate your yearly intentions also. Mine are about where I thought they would be.
It's been like pulling teeth lately for me to really work in the studio...has that ever happened to you? I love both junk journal making and fabric creations but I seem to do everything else instead of working on projects although I did work on some journal making this weekend...not a lot and not on any of the journals in process. Mostly just playing with covers.
I took 12"square thick decorated paper, cut in half, folded each side in half and then folded both edges inward so they can either become a pocket or a fold out. Then I decorated the front on each. But before decorating I do something that not a lot of journal makers do. I put a piece of invisible tape on both sides of the folded area. Why? Because that strengthens that area so when I sew it, the holes stay small and the paper doesn't rip.
Here are a few of the front pages...
I like to have a finished front page section and one way to do that inexpensively is to use strips of clear wide packing tape. One roll of the tape lasts me a long time.
What am I going to do with these? I'm not sure but there is a bit of an idea in the back of my mind that I am still trying to work out and it involves making something to take along on trips. When I have it all figured out, I'll share it with you, as well as the rest of the front pages!
So back to my sluggishness about doing things I love (or not love but need) to do...when that happens to you, what do you do? I guess the best thing is to go with the flow if possible. Exercising...well, I could stop those easily BUT I know if I do, that will impact my everyday well-being so mostly I do them. But I do give myself a break occasionally as long as it's only for a day (or two).
But what about those things I love to do...maybe I'm bored with them? Or maybe I just need a break? Or maybe there are other things that are more important? Sometimes it's hard to figure out why. Right now, I think I will just give myself a break, do a few little things if I want to and go with the flow of doing what I want (or need) to do. Lately I have been spending time reading and looking forward to working in the yard (Hopefully today!).
Hope you are able to also go with the flow when this happens to you...I know we all experience times like this but when it happens, you can be at a bit of a loss. So give yourself a break and do what you want to do.
That's it for now...
Talk with you tomorrow...
