We watched the final episode of 'Stranger Things' this weekend having put off watching it for over a week. A lot of folks apparently did not like the ending but I thought it was a great way to wind up the series and let folks know how the different characters reacted to the final fight and going forward. The only thing I was sad about was that the series was ending.
The latest Tea Shop Mystery by Laura Childs is out...number 30...'Death at a Firefly Tea'. This is probably my favorite cozy mystery series even although I do keep up with many of them. One thing I like about this series besides the actual plot and characters is learning about the different teas...and the recipes are pretty good also!
Remember I decided to create a mobile to hang all the tiny crocheted baskets that are filled with flowers? Well, I created the way to hang them from cardboard same as I did with the toilet paper birds which are still hanging in my studio! I used three thicknesses of cardboard strips, glued together to make a circle of sorts, covered with white fabric scraps and then wound carefully around with white yarn. I then cut three pieces to go on the inside, one long and two short finishing them the way I did the outside circle...
I decided to make enough fabric flowers to go all around the outside of the circle. I have one on the circle (attaching with glue gun), three made and the rest cut out and ready to sew together...
Once I finish with the flowers, I will attach string to hang from a hook on the top and string to hang the baskets from the bottom part of the circle. I have over a dozen of the baskets so it should look really nice and full.
Today, besides making dinner and cleaning up the house, I plan on finishing starting the seeds. Then it will be a matter of waiting until they all pop up and begin growing. Spring has already sprung here!!!but it sure is cold and lots of folks further north still have to deal with snow on the ground. But other areas, especially out west have had little if any snow which will probably lead to some water shortages...not a good thing.
I am once again truck-less! I think it's funny because my son bought another car so that if one needed servicing, he'd have the other to use. Well, both need servicing and for the same reason...ignition coils! I know it's not really funny but once again I had to cancel an appointment because of no vehicle to get there...instead of being upset, I just chuckle at the weirdness of the situation....SNAFU!!!
Well, I hope all of you have a great day...and stay warm and dry...
Talk with you tomorrow...
