These are actually the tops of chives that survived the winter!!!

It's dark out this morning and raining although that should stop by noon.  I can hear the birds greeting the morning, though, and they sound excited.  One of the things I want to learn at Summer Camp is the different song birds and their songs.

Looks like there's going to be a lot of wind this afternoon.  I don't usually see wind icons on the daily forecast.  As it is wet and rainy and possibly very windy this afternoon, I will probably not work outside with two exceptions.  I would like to deadhead the roses and keep the petals.  Second I want to work in the greenhouse and get some more seeds started.  To do that I will need a few more containers which I plan on getting this morning as well as a few more flowers.

So our new cat, Kenya, has become a bit skittish after the episode she experienced at night.  I brought in the large cat carrier to set up as a place to feel safe.  Late afternoon, she did eat both wet and dry food, drink some water and used the litter box.  And she has ventured out a bit so I think things are back on track.

I haven't really figured out any plans for the creative activities of my Summer Camp yet.  That's today's job.  About the only thing I have done about the creative activities is to create four subjects:  Weaving, Fabric, Paper Craft & Drawing/Painting.

I am compiling a list of books that I want to read.  I want to include some non-fiction books out of the realm that I normally read but haven't found any that peak my interest.  Remember, reading is a part of my camp experience.

Yesterday I did make more ephemera for my junk journals.  First off, two envelopes with velcro closers and notecards.  They are small about three to four inches wide..

And remember the exploding hearts?  Well, I did somewhat the same thing by tearing apart squares and rectangles, applying gold to the edges with a gold pen and then gluing the results unto another piece of cardstock...

They look quite spectacular in person.  And again, these are larger pieces of ephemera.

If it's raining where you live, stay dry and be safe...

Talk with you tomorrow...
