So, I screwed up...I thought my eye appointment was today...turns out it was yesterday! So I called and apologized and rescheduled the appointment for next week.
Yesterday, in the heat, I did more work in the yard putting more flowers plots to bed and picking up all the single pots that I scatter around the yard bringing color to places that need it. Today my plan is to work on the plants in the greenhouse.
I also need to pick up a few groceries, gas up SnowWhite and change her oil, mail the newsletters, return Amazon items that definitely were not what the picture portrayed...in other words, run a lot of errands. I'm also making supper but haven't quite decided on what although I am leaning towards a one pan meal.
My to-do list is about 20 items although I have crossed out some already like exercises and cleaning some rooms...yes, I actually did them, not just crossed them off!
My fall decoration has not worked out the way I thought it would but I think it's because the puzzle pieces were way to big. I should have looked for a puzzle with more pieces so the actually pieces were smaller. I'm not done yet, but I'm still trying to figure out how to finish it.
The first thing I did was pick up some twigs and puzzle pieces and paint them white...
I also prepared two pieces of regular cardboard each about 12" by 14". I glued them together to make the background stronger. You can leave the cardboard plain (with no writing, etc.) or cover it with paper or fabric. I happen to have a small piece of burlap and some scrap trim. I glued both of them to the board with the burlap covering the front completely and trimming the edges...
Next, using a glue gun (You can use tacky glue as long as you let it try completely.) I attached the twigs to the background...
The painted jigsaw pieces were suppose to be glued on like leaves but the ones I glued on didn't look right because they were too big. So now I am not sure what I will add...buttons? cut out small leaves? or leave it plain? I'm sure I will finish this...but I'm just not sure how. Stay tuned...
How's your list of thankful events? I hope you're writing them down so you can actually see how many things in your life you can be thankful for. I'll share a picture of my list next week so you can see how long it can get in just a few days...there should be 15 items after today.
That's all for now...take a few minutes today and do something you really want to do, not that you have to do...
Thanks for stopping by, talk with you tomorrow...
