Well, the kitties have been at it again. Last night they were both on the windowsill batting the window as the insects flew by...well, one rather large moth landed on the other side and Chip and Dale were sitting on their hind legs just pawing away at the moth.
Apparently, the moth got tired of the game and flew off....the kitties on the other hand were still interested in playing. So, after pawing vigorously at the window, they turned and began pawing each other. Boxing Kitties! It was the funniest thing I had seen them do in a long time.
I had to stop them before they fell over and took the lamp and other knick knacks with them. Let me tell you, they were not happy with me. Once they landed on the floor, they both put their tails up and walked away in opposite directions.
These pictures are of some of the fall things that I put out. I usually put my pottery pieces away for the spring and summer and look forward to their appearance in the fall and winter. And I love fall flowers and foliage. I use artificial ones (purchased at the end of the previous season). I used to have dried flowers, but the kitties kept eating them (and depositing them elsewhere on the floor!). They seem to leave the artificial ones alone.
Although my children are adults now, I still seem to be attuned to the school calendar...and no I am not a teacher. Fall, for me means new beginnings much like the New Year. Sometimes though, with the whole year in front of me, I feel overwhelmed. But with fall, I just have a feeling of freedom to begin doing what is of importance to me. I guess that is leftover from kids and school.
Fall was always a time to think about here and now...and I don't know about the rest of you, but a lot of times I am thinking and planning about the future and not about the present. You know...'when this happens (whatever this is), then I'll do that (whatever that is)'...! Well, the question is why not do 'that' now?
I have made an agreement with myself to try to be 'in the present' as much as possible for the rest of September and for October. Although I may be planning for futures events (like holiday presents), I will be 'doing something' about it. I'll let you know how it works out.
And speaking of presents, here is a picture of some beaded boutique balls which I was considering. These are a little bland for me, but it has been a while since I last made them.
I will leave you with a picture of a wonderful place to have a picnic. I hope your Labor Day Weekend was simply fantastic and that your upcoming week will be full of good surprises and wonderful experiences.
