Fall and I am sweating, someone got the calendar wrong somewhere. Cool weather coming again very soon....maybe tomorrow, maybe the next day. It can't come too soon for me. Remind me, though, when I complain about cold weather this winter!!!!Heard a report that the pumpkins are going to be small and scarce this year. Too much rain early in the year led to late planting and not enough rain later. However, they are still promising great fall color....
I had fun with a quilting group making mini landscapes. I got so involved that I continued making them when I got home, same size, using only the fabric supplied to the group.

Now I want to come up with a border for each one and then quilt them. One thing I am not sure is what color thread to use in quilting. I plan on quilting with my sewing machine. Any suggestions?
Now that I think about it, I have several pieces to quilt...the "Pile of Leaves" wall hanging, several journals plus the landscapes. Should be able to get a lot of practice in on my quilting.
The kitties - Chip and Dale - have decided that the best place to relax is in the middle of the steps.
Chip likes to stretch out in the sun and won't move for any reason....not even food!
Dale just sits there and dares us to make him move....
