Welcome to my blog. I am new at this but after reading Blogging for Bliss and several (and I do mean a lot) of blogs, I thought this was the best venue for me to begin my journey on the internet.
Life for me is a series of adventures, even in the everyday, ordinariness of life. Having a picnic lunch and watching a boat gently sail by is soul renewing. Watching the seasons change brings me both energy and and contentment. I have to say that fall is my favorite time of year. The colors are spectacular, the air has a snap to it and, of course, there is football...and I do love my Minnesota Vikings, even though I haven't lived there for years.
I can lose track of time when I create fabric art and experiment with new different techniques. This is a recent round robin of which I was a part. Each person created a scene, then the next person used that scene to create it in another season. I used raw edge applique for this and found that I really enjoyed the freedom of not turning edges. 
I love taking pictures of things that strike me as unique like this chandelier which was hanging in a shop in New Orleans.
Or this picture of one of the Waterfalls that were put up around New York City.
Now that September is here, though, I guess it's time to think about the holiday season and gifts. Instead of last minute gift buying, I hope to be able to make something for everyone on my list and purchase only those gifts which really resonate with me as something the receiver would truly enjoy. I have lots of ideas, now I need to really settle on which ones I want to make and get busy. I'll let you know next time some of the ideas I am thinking about.
