Well, it was another beautiful day. I guess the fall weather is making up for a rather wet summer. It seemed like it rained everyday in June & July and in fact, it did rain that much. I tried raising some vegetables on the patio but only the herbs were successful. But I did find some beautiful flowers and snapped a quick picture as we were driving by.
These are my constant furry friends...Chip on the left (because there is a little chip of white on his face) and Dale (of course) on the right. They are brothers who love to hide socks, stretch out in the sunlight and jump on my lap at the most inconvenient times. Even with all their fur, they are much loved additions to our home.
My office/studio is really tiny, but I do have a window which is nice. I needed a place to put things that I am currently using so I made it. Thrifty by nature, I cleaned out food cans, covered them with leftover paper scraps and hooked them together with tiny bull clips. The bottom three rows are in a box so I could tip them at an angle. As you can see in the picture, it holds a lot and it really works well and it cost me very little to make.
I am still trying to figure out what to make for the holidays. I just began making an updated version of boutique balls recently, those could be an option. I was also thinking of quilted table runners. I know it seems early, but if I don't begin soon, I won't finish in time!!
