Today was a day filled with many errands and lots of little things to do, all with the pleasant accompaniment of music. Voting was not one of them because when we went to register last week (having moved here within the year) we were pleasantly surprised by the ability to vote at the same time. At this point some of the things we voted for have won and some are still up in the air. I hope all of you exercised your right to vote.
Changing subjects, are you familiar with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tim's internet Quilt Show? It is a class act professional production with great guests and how to segments.
I just finished watching the show with Paula Nadelstern who is famous for her Kaleidoscopic Quilts. The first segment showed her one woman show at the American Folk Art Museum in New York City. Next she talked about individual pieces. And finally she took us on a tour of the New York City garment district - a great place to find fabric.
I have had the pleasure of seeing her at a couple of informal guild presentations and found that she is just as down to earth as she appears. Her quilts are very striking. If you ever have the opportunity to see them, it would be well worth your time.
Thanks for stopping by...
