Spring Has Finally Sprung, But Not Here

I went on a little outing today to a place called 'Gardner Village' in West Jordon, Utah.   The main building used to be a flour mill.

It now boasts a great restaurant and a wonderful shop.   Surrounding the main building are lots of little shops with many specialties including quilting, antiques, knitting, toys, home decor, etc.

If you are in the area, it is worth a visit including lunch.   And they have many special events throughout the year.

I took a few pictures of flowers, tulips, mostly.   Mainly because spring has not sprung here in Park City unless I slept through it somehow.    Here are a couple of my favorite.   My camera is still not great but I haven't had the time to learn how to use my new one yet.   Have patience...I will get to it.

In keeping with my idea of simple living, I have been wrestling with a question of what to do about housing.   I do not have my own home.   For the last twenty-five years or so I have either lived in an apartment or in housing provided by my employer.

After reading several articles on renting versus owning, I am inclined to rent rather than own, but I still have some questions.   I know I will be renting an apartment for the next couple years because I plan on returning to New York City and I do not want to purchase in the City.    But after that does it make sense to purchase or rent.   There are pros and cons for both situations.

My housing needs are small...I plan on renting a small studio apartment in New York City.   And after that, I would like to move to Maine to live.   Again, for me, I do not want to have a large home...900 square feet is the upper limit, but do I rent or do I purchase?

If you have any ideas, let me know.

Thanks for visiting...
