Camping and the Birthday Swap

This past weekend we went camping at Bear Lake.   The campground was great.   It had an outdoor, heated swimming pool, playgrounds for the kids, outdoor covered areas with sinks to wash dishes, bathrooms with showers, etc.   

The small town had a great bike path and I finally rode my bike.  Considering that it had been 35 years since I last rode a bike, I was surprised!!!!   Guess what?   You really never forget how to ride a bike.   I was a bit wobbly to begin with...AND I kept trying to brake by back peddling!!!   That should tell you that I really hadn't ridden a bike in a long, long, long time.  But I managed to figure out how to switch gears - my last bike had three but only one worked!!!

Bear Lake is a very large beautiful lake...

But, there was still snow on the mountains...

And I finally saw some dandelions...in fact, a whole field of them...

I pick up my trailer tomorrow, so I will post more pictures of it then.   And you can give me ideas as to how to decorate it!!!

In the meantime, my shadowbox came for the Birthday Swap...

I'm going to paint it an antique white first.   I want to create an outdoor tea party Birthday Party theme.  What do you think?   I have gathered several things to include...

Some of the little things are vintage and some are not, but I think they will look nice together.   Of course, I will have to add some lace and background pictures, but I'm going to have a lot of fun with this swap.
