You're probably wondering where I have been since our snowy Memorial Day Weekend...well, I told you I was looking at camping trailers. I found one that's just perfect for me. An 18 foot long Dutchman Sport, last year's model which I got it for just about half price, brand new. And they are throwing in a stabilizer for the hitch free.
It has a full kitchen including a three burner stove, a smaller - very small - oven, double sink and nice size refrigerator with separate freezer. A bathroom including shower/small tub, vanity/sink and, of course, a toilet - the toilet and shower/tub are behind the door.
A large bed - yes I have to crawl into it but that was better than wasting space with a walk-around bed for me - with a small bunk above one third of the bed. The bunk has a window which makes it a perfect spot for the kitties to perch.
There is no slide-out, but the arrangement is very roomy. I took these two pictures from the sofa which is in the front of the trailer.
I did not know, however, of all the other things that needed to be taken care of for the car. I had a towing package, but the hitch was too small as was the electrical hook-up. And then I needed to install the activation system for the brakes on the trailer.
Well, needless to say, this week has been literally taken up with all those other problems. But I pick up the trailer on Tuesday. And I promise more pictures, especially of how I use it and decorate it.
I did get the swap of spring vintage items mailed...had a hard time finding spring type vintage things, but thought the flower postcards and cute animal pictures would work...
