So what's the weather like where you are? It's raining here, again. And that's a plus because we are in the dry season. So far we have had rain every day since the weekend. And it is dark, cloudy, thundering and misting right now.
I have finally finished the shadowbox. I had a bit of a problem with the cover finish. I finally decided to paint it green like the inside of the individual boxes. Then I darkened it and finally used a gold to antique it.
I liked the results. But once the cover was done, then I had to do something with the edges of the smaller boxes...white just did not do it. So I used the gold and that seemed to pull the entire project together.
As I have said before, this is not really my chosen type of decor but I just fell in love while making it. So here are pictures of the completed shadowbox...
This will be winging it's way to my swap partner tomorrow. Wow! Two swaps mailed in two day!!!

My Journal of Change...
Well, I had a bit of a breakdown a couple days ago as I was planning my trip back east. I realized that all along 'we' had been planning to travel back after the medical procedures were done.
And now, I will be doing it alone...well, not completely alone. I do have Chip and Dale, my constant kitty companions. And I do hold 'the love of my life' in my heart.
Will that be enough? Yes, I think so because each of us gave the other permission to live a life as complete as possible when the other was gone.
Will it be easy? Probably not, especially at first. But that is not reason enough to not continue. So, I will be venturing out in about a month.
What would you do?
