Okay, today did not go the way I planned...I wound up finding a veterinarian for Dale who seemed to be spending an inordinate amount of time in the kitty litter box.
I finally found one just a short drive from the KOA campgrounds. Dale will be okay. I just need to give him a pill a day for ten days...what fun!?!
He looks so angelic, doesn't he? (Unfortunately, the pill brings out the worst!!!)
Chip has decided that his favorite place is under the table among the cords...
The wind is still...ah...windy! What surprises me is that there is so little dirt flying around.
Here are a couple pictures of the area...
I wish I could capture in a picture how broad and almost bigger-than-life this scene is...it really does take your breath away. Very different from the east coast, but just as spectacular.
And here are a couple pictures of the campsite. It is all gravel, but not really dusty even with the strong winds. There is a pool, a game room, a very nice playground with a climbing wall, a basketball court, a place to play horseshoes plus showers, restrooms, a laundry and a convenience store. So it really is well equipped.
Tomorrow morning, if Dale is doing okay, I plan on driving out to the grasslands to see the wild horses...they are decedent's of the Spanish horses. Part of the road is gravel and very remote...I'll see how far I dare to venture. Hopefully I will get some pictures of the wild horses.
Well, it's back to writing...
Thanks for stopping by...check in tomorrow to see if I got any wild horse pictures...
