Getting to be that time of year...I may not have a tree up, or decorations on the mantle, or twinkle lights outlining my porch; but, I do have music to listen to and holiday happiness in my heart. (Even when I feel like this move will never happen!!!!)
And now this...
,,,more snow and ice. Seems like winter is a bit different this year around here. And the weekend promises more snow!!! I'll take the snow over the ice, though, any day.
So, the stuff in the basement is up, sorted and repacked and half of it is at the storage unit already. The upstairs only had things that need to go to storage or will be going into the trailer. The living room is full of stuff to go to storage...all packed. And the car is crammed full. I hope to make two trips tomorrow.
The office/studio still look like a mess but most of it has been sorted and is waiting to be packed, or brought to the trailer or to Goodwill. Yes, there will be at least one more trip to Goodwill. The kitchen is still a mess but mostly packed.
I realized when I woke up this morning that I had no clean clothes. So, along with everything else, I needed to wash clothes. And if you remember, I do not have a regular washer and dryer...I have a portable washer and spin dryer. So, it's not like putting clothes in the washer and transferring to the dryer. There are many more steps so it does take a lot of time. But, all is washed, dried and put away.
So plans tomorrow include:
(1) Two trips to the storage unit
(2) One trip to post office to mail packages
(3) Finish packing and cleaning the kitchen
(4) Straighten up the office/studio in preparation for the moving folks who will be coming on Friday morning to move the large items which at this point include: three single beds, a secretary, a small bedroom chest, a buffet, a pump organ, a set of lawyers shelves, two wing back chairs, one rocking chair, three occasional tables, bicycle and any boxes packed tomorrow evening.
I feel like that little train who keeps saying "I think I can. I think I can. I think I can." Can't wait until I can say "I thought I could!"
Thanks for checking things out here...
See you tomorrow...
