SEE THESE and 2014 GOALS

...you won't see them this color after the past two days of really, really cold weather here in Alabama.   I took these pictures about a week ago and the bushes were simply full of flowers.

It's very cold for this area...bone-chilling cold.   I've always thought that the cold in the south was much worse than the cold in the north.   Having lived in both areas, and now recently in the south again, I still believe it!!!

So, when they said the temps were going to get down to the low teens, I went out and purchased insulation for my water hook-ups.   Apparently, I was the only one to do so in the campground.   And as a result, lots of folks have broken water pipes in their trailers.   Not me.   What I do have is a broken hotwaterheater.

And the quotes to fix or replace run from $600 to $700.   I can purchase a brand new one on Amazon for $255!   Go figure.   Now I have to find someone to install it.   If I didn't have to deal with the propane hook-up, I would do it myself, but I don't feel comfortable making that hook-up.

2014 GOALS
Okay, I asked you to write down your goals for this year and to dream big.   Some folks thought that dreaming big was a waste of time.   I hope you're not one of them.   Without our dreams where would our lives be?

Now, when I said dream big, I meant it but big dreams do not have to mean lots of money and a surplus of 'stuff'.    Dreaming big means taking those ideas that are wound around your heart...ones that you may have forgotten, or ones that linger in the background waiting for you to beckon them.  Or even those that are wound so tight that that's all you can think about.   Most of all, they are dreams that make you smile.

Maybe it's writing a book, composing music, singing on stage, creating art, finding your soul-mate, seeking the job that you really love, simplifying your life, traveling, moving, making new friends, going to college...

Get the idea, those dreams can be anything...they just have to be your big dreams.  Not your parents, not your children, not even your significant other.   They.   Have.  To.  Be.  Your.  Dreams!

And you know what, maybe your big dreams seem small.   Maybe they are carving out an hour a day to read, or spending alone time regularly in a leisurely bath, or even windowshopping for ideas on clothing or new furnishing.  No matter the size and scope, if they're your big dreams, then own them proudly, with a smile.

Now that you have your list, select three dreams and write them down in order of preference with the one that makes you smile the most at the top.   Tonight and tomorrow, just think about those dreams.   Don't write anything more down, just think about them.   And just before you go to sleep, etch them in your memory and smile...

Thanks for stopping in...

Wish I could offer you a cup of coffee (or tea, if you prefer),
Instead, make yourself a cuppa and sit down to think about your top three dreams.

See you tomorrow...

Be well,
Be warm,
Be safe,
Be Happy!
