Yes, I know that it's winter; and that we just had a winter storm; and that it is beautiful outside today with bright sunlight, pristine snow (It will only last a day or two in this city!!!) against a sky as blue as possible; but, I thought that a reminder of summer's best might bring a smile to your face.
So, we (the cats and I) made it through the storm. It's still extremely cold out so I will be indoors for another three or so days. We had more than a foot of snow. But to be honest, Boston and Portland, Maine had the snow and cold along with flooding from partially frozen sea water, so I think they had it far worse. The good news is that the temperatures are on the rise. Next week we will have days in the high 40's!!!
I thought I would share some of my daily creations. First the first five days of One Little Tag challenge. Instead of purchasing tags, I took plain 3 by 5 white index cards and cut them in half lengthwise and punching out a hole. This week's focus was doodling (right up my alley!!!)
Next, the Project 365 Something. I choose to begin with collage but using small cards. Once again, I choose to use the 3 by 5 white index cards but cutting them in half widthwise. Here are the first five, some in markers and then adding fabric and yarn for the next three...
I know that the only way I will be able to keep up with these challenges is to limit the amount of time I spend on each, so I am using them as a kind of warm up session at the beginning of the day. Hopefully, but doing this consistently it will become a launchpoint for beginning my studio work each day.
Well, the weekend is almost here and that means football for me. Two games on Saturday and two on Sunday. My team had a bi-week so they won't be playing. Trust me, though, I will be watching these games...there are only a few left in the season.
Monday night's game between the top two colleges - Alabama and Georgia - should be interesting also.
Stay warm, find time for yourself, enjoy life...
Thanks for spending a few minutes with me...
See you next week...
