Scrap Fabric Make-Up Remover Pads

I saw this idea on YouTube and thought it was an excellent way to use scraps and to help stop purchasing make-up remover pads. It all begins with a towel that has seen its better days and I had just the ticket - a hand towel that used to be black.

First cut off the hems on all sides.  Then cut the towel in pieces larger than the scrap cotton fabric piece that you will sew to the towel pieces.

These are scrap pieces of fabric are three inches square.

Using a long and wide zigzag stitch, sew the fabric scrap piece to the towel.  After trying several different ways, it is much easier to use a towel piece larger than the scrap piece. Also the towel piece should be on the bottom when sewing.

When done, trim a shade past the zigzag line.  I made 13 of these out of one hand towel. And best of all, they can be washed in the washing machine and reused many times.

To make it a little cuter, I made a fabric basket to place the clean ones in. Add a bottle of facial make-up remover and it would be a nice little gift at very little cost!

That's all for now...

Talk with you tomorrow...
