25 Days of Christmas Crafts - Day Eleven - 3D Paper Ornaments

Right now it is raining heavily, the wind is blowing and thunder is rolling...and it is December 11th!!!

And the sad news of the devastating tornadoes that tore through the middle of our country destroying residential and commercial areas leaving several dead leaves me astounded.  Not only because of the holiday time of year, but this is December.  We have to address global warming or we won't leave anything but disaster for the future.  Although sad, I am going to continue with 25 days of crafts.

And today's craft is a 3D paper ornament...

Supplies needed:  Colored Paper (Construction or card stock is best);
colored string, glue, scissors and glitter.
First cut four each of three different different size circles...

Spread glue on one-half of a large circle...
Glue it to another half of a large circle...

Continue gluing one-half of each circle to another
circle until three are glued together.
Before gluing the last circle,
add the string to hang the ornament.
To add string glue the center area
and place the string on it as shown...

Finally, glue entire area...

And add the final large circle...

Repeat the above procedure for the
rest of the circles.
To make the tassel, wrap string
twenty times around a folded paper which is
2 1/2 inches tall...

Slip another pieces of string underneath the
wrapped string and tie a knot...

Slip off the string and holding the knot, cut the string...

Take another string and tie a knot about 1/2 inch from the top...

Trim tassel and add to the last circle by gluing it
in the center before adding the final circle (same as
adding the string to hang the ornament.)
That's it...

You can change the ornament by using
different shapes and adding different trim...

Enjoy...
