February 3: Joy

Crocheted Coasters

Can you believe it - it is raining right now?  And in the high 40's!  And foggy!  We were supposed to get snow tomorrow but the temperatures are forecast to be around 40 so now it may be more like a rain/ice/snow mix.  Going to get my shopping done today.

I crocheted the coasters in the picture above over the past couple of days.  I like the way they turned out.  I did try using two different colors but really liked the single color much better.

How many joys have you found in spite of the pandemic?  I hope that you realized that no matter what is going on, there is still plenty of room for joy filled moments...even it means taking a few minutes for yourself to simply close your eyes and rest.

Speaking of rest, getting enough sleep is another way to increase the amount of joyful moments.  It's hard to be happy when you are exhausted although not impossible.

Remember your daily routine?  Can you add one more item?  Adding something 'joyful' to your daily routine will brighten your day and give you something to look forward to.  I have added reading to my daily routine.  It's not that I don't read often, I do.  But, I wanted to make sure that I spend some specific time reading every day.  For my routine, 20 minutes fits nicely.

What you decide to add may differ in both what you want to do and how long to do it.  But be sure to add it so that you know you have that time for you.

Talk with you tomorrow...
