Well, as predicted, the snow is mostly gone...a few patches here and there in the shade. But there is another storm on the way and they are forecasting more snow...sad. It was so warm in the sunshine that I was able to sit outside and enjoy my tea this afternoon. I am definitely looking forward to enjoying that more.
I have been on a reading kick. I have read almost all of Betty Hecthmann's cosy mysteries about crocheting and knitting. I also finished reading the Mary Mark's quilting mysteries. Now I am reading some of Emily Brightwell's mysteries with Mrs. Jeffries. I think there are 40 books in all but I have read most of them...I think I have eight left to read.
I haven't read any of the knitting mystery series by Maggie Sefton so I will be trying that series next week. I have to say that I love the NYC online library. There are just tons of books available to download. I still like to read but there are also a lot of audio books. I have tried listening to books but it just doesn't work for me. How about you? Do you enjoy reading or listening? And do you read online or with a physical book.
I think that having to move the tremendous amount of books that we had turned me onto reading electronically. I only have a few craft/quilting/homesteading physical books...and that's enough. I remember packing boxes and boxes of books for our several moves...no more. Not that I will be moving as much, but still, it's nice to be able to pick up my phone or Kindle Reader to enjoy a book.
Today is that last day of focusing on discovering yourself. I hope that you have taken some time to actually reflect on who you are right now. There is one more very important part of this focus that I want to emphasize.
If you are happy with who you are, then who you are is enough. You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to even be the best of who you are. You simply have to be who you are comfortable with being.
It's still good to think about your past and how you have evolved over the years. It may open up avenues of exploration and ideas that you never thought about pursuing. It may help you understand why you do what you do. But always remember that who you are is enough.
If you choose to change, to look at other ways to improve who you are, that's great. Take small steps that you are comfortable with but always remember that it is your choice and whatever you choose, who you are is enough.
Talk to you on Monday
