March 24: Follow Your Bliss

So those April showers are showing up in March.  It's wet, cloudy and a bit cooler than the past few days but it's still forecast to be in the 50's.  The tuffs of wild onion are shooting up all through the yard.  And the tree buds are more pronounced but not yet open.

I don't know about you but I am curious what NATO is going to do today...I hope they enact more sanctions and send more help to Ukraine but I still hold out hope that this will not evolve into WWIII.

And finally, some of the GOP questioning of Ketanji Brown Jackson at the hearing was absolutely abhorrent.  Focusing on one or two rulings out of several hundred, rulings which were in line with rulings by other judges and then disrupting the procedure probably backfired except with their extremist constituents.  It was a sad day for democracy.  Thank you Senator Cory Booker.

On to following your bliss.  I wanted to share with you what happened to my 'writer' friend.  No she did not quit her job...at least not yet, nor will she, I think in the near future.  However, because she feels so drawn to writing stories and, as she said, she feels so fulfilled when engaging in the actual pursuit of writing, she has created a daily routine that includes a block of time for writing.

How has she done this?  Well, she has cut back on her volunteer activities, not completely, but she is more judicious on choosing which volunteer activities she will undertake.  She also spends much less time with electronic activities including tv.  And that, for the present time, has allowed her to pursue her writing.  And I have to say, she is much more contented since she made this change.

As Joseph Campbell said, finding and following your bliss is simply letting your life speak to you.  Listen to yourself and pay attention to your intuition, to your creativity, to what fulfills you and brings you contentment.   Again, it takes times to discern the life meant for you and possibly to let go of the life you have now in order to pursue the life ready for you.

Continue to spend time thinking and meditating in that sacred space/time you have created.  Have no fear, you will find that life.

Talk to you tomorrow...
