March 30: What Inspires You?

It is a bit warmer today...high in the high 40's but tomorrow along with 70 degrees,  the day is now forecast to have strong thunder storms and, of course, lots of rain.

I don't know which is worse; 7 plus hours of no calls by the prior president during the attack on the Capitol when we know that he talked with people; or, asking Putin during Putin's invasion of Ukraine to find information on the Biden's family.  By the way, that information about Biden's family has been found not true by several sources.  (Think big sigh and head shaking.)

Finding your inspiration requires first of all, listening to yourself and then trying something new.  Another often overlooked factor is rest...yep, REST.

Have you heard folks say 'I'll rest when I'm dead?'.  Well, that's not helping your body and no rest could easily hurry that final rest.  Yet, how many of us, especially women, push ourselves much further than we should.  Work at work and work at home, taking care of everyone else first and sacrificing ourself.

You need to put yourself in life's equation and that means rest.  And the great thing about rest is that it doesn't always mean sleeping or napping; although a good night's sleep is necessary.  Rest can be reading a book, just chilling out or doing something that you enjoy.  If needed, add a time of rest to your daily routine...and then use it for rest.  The laundry can wait and how clean does your house really need to be?

Another way to inspire yourself is to rearrange something...how about your studio/office?  How long have you been thinking that moving something to a different place may be helpful?  So try it out...rearrange it and see if it works better.  Maybe by moving something, it is easier to access some resources that you neglected because they weren't readily available.

Or how about the rest of your home.  Is it time to rearrange furniture?  Too much?  How about changing the decorations?  Maybe adding some spring type decorations?  I change decorations according to the seasons.  Fall is the season of orange as my family likes to say.  Winter is Christmas and Snow.  Spring is Easter and flowers and Summer is full of vacation collections.  Try it you may like it!!!

Talk with you tomorrow...
