I know these are weeds - like dandelions - but they really lend beauty to places that have little else to brighten the area up.
So the past weekend we did see some homes - inside and outside. No luck. But hope springs eternal. We have found several more to look at and hope that our agent can arrange to see them next weekend. The fact that in New York, closing typically takes two to three months even with money in hand was an eyeopener.
We did extend our lease through August thinking that we really wouldn't need that long, but now I think we may. If we want to be out of this home by August, we have to have an accepted bid by the end of this month! Fingers crossed!
Updating about Dale - he is doing better. We are taking him back to the vet next Saturday for blood pressure and blood drawing, if possible. Getting blood pressure and drawing blood is not easy on cats unless they are sedated and at Dale's age, that is out of the question. We shall see. At 20, we just want to make sure that he is comfortable, but right now, he is once again active, eating and generally behaving as he did before he had what the vet has decided was a neurological event.
I have been packing and packing. All the books are now packed and most of my organ/piano music. And I am making progress on my studio. I have six boxes packed. I have decided to keep out some journal making, embroidery and drawing supplies. Who knows how long things will be packed and I want to make sure I have supplies to do some crafting.
Before we talk about this month's theme, how are you doing in regards to your goals? Have you checked in lately to see how you are doing? If not, take some time today or tomorrow and check. Maybe it's time to change your goals or refine them. You won't know, though, if you don't check...so make a concerted effort to do so.
Me, well, some things are going well and others not so much. So I am refining two of my goals to fit my current life situation. I really didn't take into account how this upcoming move would affect me and my time.
So the theme for this month is going to be 'A little of this, a little of that!' As well as a good dose of crafting how-to. As I said, this upcoming life change has derailed some of my previous ideas. And I am finding that it is really difficult and time consuming deciding how to pack up my studio.
Stay tuned...
Talk with you tomorrow...
PS: Can you believe that the Supreme Court is about to overturn Roe? Not only does it begin the destruction of personal privacy, but it looks like the extreme right is not going to stop there. They are already talking about going after Griswold concerning privacy and contraceptives, then marriage rights, gay rights, and everything to do with women's equality. My goodness, what a day.
