October 11, 2022

So it's been a busy weekend.  We took the car back to my other son.  After his shoulder surgery, he can finally begin to drive short distances.

After dropping off the car, actually it's a truck, we stopped at a car dealership to test drive a couple cars.  The one my son wanted was gone, so he tried a couple other ones.  No go.

We finished unloading the pod behind the house but we still have to unload the pod in front of the house.  It's about half done.

This is what part of my studio looks like. The rest is even in worse shape.  I am trying to figure out how to organize things. It's really a mess so I won't be doing some of the crafts I had planned on sharing.

Once I get things a bit organized, I will be able to find all my craft supplies.

There is a new question for the week as well as a new thought for day for us to use as journal prompts.

When I rest between working on the house or my studio...at my age I usually try to rest about 15 minutes every couple of hours...I have been reading.

I bought William Shatner's latest book, Boldly Go, after seeing an interview on Morning Joe.  It's a hard book to put down.  One of the books he referenced is another book I was able to download from the library and it is also great.  Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard.  It's about the lives of trees and their community.  So between the above two plus Neil deGrasse Tyson's Starry Messenger I have some great non-fiction reading and would recommend all of them.

I am listening to cozy mysteries when working.  Right now I am working through Miranda James mysteries with the cat Diesel.  Right now I am listening to Cat Me if you Can.

So the question this week is:  What values do you feel are most important?  I asked this because although at first I thought it would be easy to answer, I realized after thinking about it, if I was honest, the answer isn't that easy.  What do you think?

Well that's all for today...

Talk with you tomorrow...
