I was going to work on the garage yesterday but the landlord was working in it all day installing the new generator. Yesterday I thought I would just postpone the work until today but I decided that since it's going to rain tomorrow and I want to do some leaf peeking today, I will work on the garage tomorrow! How's that for putting chores off?
I found time to work on the 3D cards. Remember my prototype...
I decided to make it smaller and design houses with more decorative elements. I cut several small patterns out of white card stock and then begin decorating them. Here are the first couple of houses...
I used shiny paper for the windows and some doors. Well, I had so much fun that I created several more as well as some trees and a snowman...
The houses are about an inch and a quarter wide and vary from an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half high. Much smaller than the ones in the prototype. I also want to add white glitter to the snow on the houses and trees and snowman.
Next I will create a card that fits the size of these 'houses'. I plan on using between five and seven houses per card along with trees, a snowman and possibly a deer which I still need to make. I also decided on what to say on the front of the card...'Enjoy the beauty of the season'.
If the fall color is at it's peak in your area, get out and enjoy it.
Talk with you tomorrow...
