Well, the warm weather is back! Close to 80!  I keep having to check the calendar to make sure it is October.  And another weekend of rain is forecast.  It will be eight or nine rainy weekends in a row.

The mass shooter in Maine was really upsetting.  I have lived in Maine and know those small towns surrounded by real woods, not the several feet of trees that line our interstates.  Thoughts and prayers are not enough any more.  I wonder when we will face up to our gun culture?

I have been crocheting lately and to keep the kitties busy, I made a yarn toy for them...

Speaking of kitties, here's a picture of Chip.  He's 21 (human) years old.  His brother Dale died a few years ago but Chip is going strong...

Other things that I have crocheted are snowflakes to add to gift packages...

I also crocheted a top for the lazy susan on the dining table which normally has a seasonal decoration on it but I like something underneath it...thus the crocheted cover...

I'm getting better at the art of crochet but have a long way to go to get the stitches totally even.  I also crocheted three small circles...

each of which will be a base for this...

I have lots of zoom chats to host today so I'll close for now...
