October 30, 2023

It's been a sad time during these past couple of weeks.  The family has lost three souls both unexpected and expected.  One realizes that no matter how or why or when someone dies, it's a painful experience.  Someone who was here, someone with history, someone who knew the younger you, is no longer here.

I guess as I get older, this will be an experience that will come more often.  A reality that one cannot escape.

The best way I have found to handle these events is to mourn the passing of the soul but then to remember with joy the life that once was a part of my own.  It doesn't eliminate the sadness but it does bring a smile when I remember all the good times.  How do you handle the loss of a loved one?  I hope with the support of family and friends.

So, it rained beginning Saturday night, almost all day Sunday and the forecast is for rain the most of today.  The only good thing is that it is light rain...not heavy downpours.

I have crocheted more snowflakes to add to my holiday packages.  And I have finished all the houses for the 3D cards and part of the trees.  That includes adding all the intricate details, the snow and the white glitter.  Check out these photos first of all the houses, then close-ups and finally some of the trees, also with glitter...

The houses and trees are each different from one another.  I plan on using five houses per 3D card and seven or eight trees.  I hope to finish the trees today and then on to making five more bases.  I want to see if I like the blue background or the black background best.

Busy day today with lots of cleaning around the house.  My Utes lost badly to the Ducks on Saturday.  It's not too bad because the I have always loved the Ducks.  And the Vikings won on Sunday.  A nice end to the weekend.

Have a great day...

Talk with you tomorrow...
