Today I am going to pick up the last of the groceries I need to make the pies and tea breads (pumpkin and cranberry/orange) and cranberry sauce.
I was watching some YouTube videos and came across a video on an advent calendar in a three ring binder using envelopes.
I thought it was really nice so I decided to make some envelopes to see if I could make an advent calendar, similar but different.
I downloaded the Advent numbers from the internet (free to download, print and use). I used plain card stock, cut in a long or short strip, folded up for the envelope and down for the flap. I then covered the card stock with decorative paper, leaving an extra portion on the front to fold to the back and glued to secure the sides.
Check out the first six envelopes...
To hold the envelop flaps down, I used the numbers, gluing the bottom two-thirds to the envelop and leaving the top third unglued so the flaps can slip under.
I plan on finishing these before the beginning of Advent which this year is December 3rd.
That's all for today...
Talk with you tomorrow...
